Valley of the Mist Quilt Guild annual June brown bag raffle is coming. It will be
Tuesday, June 12. Doors open at 6:30. 
We meet at Community Recreation Center at 30875 Rancho Vista Rd. Temecula
Exit the 15 Freeway at Rancho California Road and go east. Go to Ynez Road and turn right. Go to Rancho Vista Road and turn left. It is approximately 1 ½ miles & on the right-hand side.
 
Imagine a huge room filled with table after table of bags & baskets brimming over with sewing & quilting supplies, books, patterns & fabric — all for the taking with raffle tickets. Are you drooling yet?
This event is FREE for guests….so round up your friends, relatives & neighbors and bring them along in June. It’s a great way for beginner quilters or crafters to pick up great things at bargain prices! Tickets will be $1 each,7 for $5, 16 for $10, 35 for $20. Remember to bring your address labels to save writing your name “hundreds of times”

 

 

June 30

 The Pine Needles Quilt Guild of Wrightwood will hold their annual fund

raising Wall Quilt Auction on Saturday, June 30, 2012.   The auction will

take place in the beautiful village of Wrightwood, in conjunction with the

Mountaineer Days events.  Much of the auction proceeds are donated to

charities.   Previous years funds have assisted local domestic violence

shelters, Helping Hands, and scholarship funds at Serrano High School.  

 

Quilts can be viewed prior to the auction, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the

parking lot of the Steinmann Building on Apple Street at the top of Park

Drive.  The auction will being at 2:00 p.m. with door prizes awarded

throughout the auction.

Topic -Do you have the info you need to Lead?  A meeting for those who have been chosen to act as president, vice president programs, newsletter editor, committee chairs in our local guilds. 

 

Objectives:  Exchange of ideas on how to make it work, work better, change directions. This meeting has been very popular in the past and is a very successful place to exchange ideas and information for new and repeat positions in the guilds.  We are all volunteers and making it work is important, especially if there are methods we can learn and pass on.  Missing a position you want information on?  Send me the info at programs@sccqg.org and we will try to include your idea!

For those who wish to come up a day early, SLO is working on getting us a group discount rate.
