Beach Cities Quilters Guild presents the FantaSea of Quilts Show Soka University, 1 University Dr. in Aliso Viejo, California Saturday, June 2nd, 10am-5pm and Sunday, June 3rd, 10am-4pm. Over 400 entries, quilts, garments, dolls, wearable art. Merchant Mall with 30 vendors. Food and refreshment vendor. Live Auction on Saturday at 1:00 pm. Opportunity Quilt drawing on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Pre-sale tickets, before April 12th, $6 Tickets at the door, $9 All tickets are good for both days of the show.

Valley of the Mist Quilt Guild annual June brown bag raffle is coming. It will be Tuesday, June 12. Doors open at 6:30.

The Pine Needles Quilt Guild of Wrightwood will hold their annual fund raising Wall Quilt Auction on Saturday, June 30, 2012. The auction will take place in the beautiful village of Wrightwood, in conjunction with the Mountaineer Days events. Much of the auction proceeds are donated to charities. Previous years funds have assisted local domestic violence shelters, Helping Hands, and scholarship funds at Serrano High School.
Quilts can be viewed prior to the auction, starting at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Steinmann Building on Apple Street at the top of Park Drive. The auction will being at 2:00 p.m. with door prizes awarded throughout the auction.

SCCQG Council Meeting San Luis Obispo Guild (SLO Quilters), San Luis Obispo Location: American Legion Hall-Post 66 1661 Mill St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 Hosted by San Luis Obispo Quilters (SLO Quilters) for questions about the location and to let her know if your guild will be attending, including number of members Topic -Do you have the info you need to Lead? A meeting for those who have been chosen to act as president, vice president programs, newsletter editor, committee chairs in our local guilds.
Objectives: Exchange of ideas on how to make it work, work better, change directions. This meeting has been very popular in the past and is a very successful place to exchange ideas and information for new and repeat positions in the guilds. We are all volunteers and making it work is important, especially if there are methods we can learn and pass on. Missing a position you want information on? Send me the info at programs@sccqg.org and we will try to include your idea! For those who wish to come up a day early, SLO is working on getting us a group discount rate.
