SCCQG Special Exhibit at Road to California
SCCQG is usually asked to sponsor a special exhibit each year at Road 2 California. All guilds, their members, and affiliates are invited to provide quilts for this exhibit. We’d like quilts from every guild. Entries may be individually, group, or guild made. The goal is participation from all guilds.
Additionally, all guilds have been asked to contribute to our SCCQG banner by donating a quilt block of your guild’s logo. To date, over 55 guilds have done so! If your logo is MIA, we’d very much like to get it in time for this exhibit. (Details below.)

Finished size 8”x 8”
1. Make a block of your guild logo. This can be pieced, embroidered, painted, printed from an inkjet printer, appliquéd, etc.
2. Trim to 8.5” square. Cut a backing 8.5” square. Make a 2-3” slit in the middle. Cut thin batting to 8.25”square.
3. Make a 3 layer sandwich-Put logo and backing right sides together with batting on outside. Stitch 1/4” from edge around ALL sides.
4. Trim any excess batting from seams. Turn right sides out through the slit in the backing. Press making sure corners and sides are fully pulled out.
5. Lightly quilt by hand or machine. Carefully whip stitch the slit closed. Sign and date the back w/Micron or some permanent marker. If the guild name is not part of the logo, please add it to the front somewhere.
6. Mail it to: Kate Weber, 9547 Walnut Street, Bellflower, CA 90706. If you include a name & phone number, a photo will be texted so you know it arrived. If received by the specified due date, it will be included with the banner and logos.
